Photo Line

I’ve decided to share with you a project that I’ve been dreaming up for months now... I already had these photos printed out quite a while ago, when I was initially inspired by my sister’s wall of photos and memorabilia. I just didn’t dig the messy cluttered look so I decided to purchase a few tiny clothespins and just hang them up on a string as people do with Christmas cards. I wasn’t quite sure how it would fare in my room. I was kinda scared it would look tacky or plain, but I must say that they turned out okay!

My humble craft box full of crafting goodies

It was super simple. All I did was develop some photos, clip them on a long piece of string with tiny clothespins!

Let's play a game of: Spot Step's Ear

I borrowed some of my sister Ham’s string (har de har har) that she makes bracelets with and then I took the mini clothespins and put it together. What’s the best about this project is that it looks really cute and homey and rustic but it’s extremely simple to make. One advice though is you should station the string (make sure it's stable!) wherever you’re going to hang it before you start clipping the photos because when I tried lifting the whole thing after I made it, the string got all tangle-y. I like that I can move the photos around so I can re-adjust the position or vary the spacing. I can change out the pictures any time if I feel like a change of new scenery; I might try one with multiple photos of a single theme (most likely my dog), or even multiple copies of one awesome photo – the sky’s the limit. Yup. I officially love it.

Bracelet string: I decided to use all of the colours

I don't have a picture of the finished product hanging up in my wall because I realized that nails are the way to go and I can't do that kind of manly stuff, so I need to wait my dad to come home tomorrow. I promise to show you one day though!

Listening to Lorde as I happily clip away
